For me, whenever I watch the Doctor and Rose together, there is always this feeling that he is holding back his very deep feelings for her. In this fic, you have encapsulated that so well. Through her eyes, he is typically 'The Doctor,' yet when we switch to the same scenario through his eyes, we see this complex web of emotions - fear, love, desire, despair - all fighting for supremacy. Poor Doctor...
