An update on the sequel ...
Mar. 18th, 2007 11:15 pmI've been busily at work on the sequel (as yet unnamed, annoyingly enough) to The Calm Before the Storm, and I'm tickled to announce that I've hit 15,000 words. As some reference ... tCbtS was about 40,000. It was also, incidentally, a hell of a lot easier to write, for whatever reason!
Anyway, I'm pretty pleased with the results so far. Not sure when I'll get around to posting the first chapter, as I keep going back and tweaking, and I'm not really writing it in the same linear style I wrote tCbtS in. I still have a Major Plot Point to iron out in the early going that is not working itself out well, and it needs to get itself ironed out (with or without my help) before I can consider the early part really done.
Thanks to
ivydoor,
platypus, and
sensiblecat, who are kindly beta-ing for me on this one and helping to shape the draft into something readable. :)
