I couldn't resist getting back to the draughts game when I saw the various articles that English draughts had been cracked (http://www.nature.com/news/2007/070716/full/070716-13.html). It seemed to me that if 21st century humans could manage it (or at least a 21st century computer) that the Doctor surely could. Go, at least, gives him a bit more to calculate.
