Well, I thought that the psychic disturbance element involved Jonah in some way, so it looks like I might be right there, but I'm well and truly in suspenders over where the rest of the story is going! ;o)
Incidentally, I have a scientific background and I really admire the way you incorporate the scientific element into your stories. It's no mean feat. Do you research it before writing? Only although it is sci-fi, you speak of fluorination as though you have at least some understanding of the process.
