Yeah, the metronome was actually a little funny, all things considered. At that point, I at least knew that he'd been outside playing guitar, so there was context.
I have moved the bed, the dresser, looked under the mattress (the Princess and the Peep, God Damn It), and cursed a blue streak. The DH has been known to sleep through fire alarms, so it isn't troubling him.
I now know how those damn drums drove You-Know-Who crazy. I feel the need to rip a hole in space-time myself.
