That's excellent! I actually had the occasion to visit a Trappist (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trappist) monastery a couple of weeks ago and it has been haunting me ever since. I was just completely drawn in by the sense of peace and agelessness of the place.
I'm not a particularly spiritual person myself but I find myself compelled by the faith of others, and what a source of strength it can be.
And yes, the story of how the Doctor came to find this place, and this one monk, compelling is a big part of the story left to come.
