I went around ... and around ... and around ... with the whole birth control thing. There's a lot about it that got cut from this story, but in the end, I decided that Jackie's the sort to make sure Rose is prepared, and also, in my mind, Tony was VERY unplanned.
I don't expect that Rose will ever let the Doctor go, no matter where he is. I do expect that she would realize what she has and even if she worries about her other Doctor, she has him with her.
