Fic prompt: whatever happened to Argleton?

There is a bit of an online hubbub about Argleton, a Lancashire town marked on Google Maps that doesn't exist.

This needs to be a Doctor Who story.  You people are brilliant.  Write something.  DO EEEEEEET.  Write it in the comments, or write something long, whatever suits.  I may take a hand to it myself, but I thought it would be fun to have a bunch of us tackle this.
