I heart Jacob, even if he does talk back

As I've said before, I didn't really intend to, but Jacob in my mind looks and sounds a great deal like Brian Blessed. I blame it on the Virgin Radio Christmas Panto from last year, which is one of the funniest and silliest bits of comedy I've heard in quite some time.
Disclaimer: I am suffering from a beastly cold. I just took another helping of my somewhat mind-altering cough syrup and slept about 2 hours last night. Jacob, however, is feeling pretty damn feisty. Silly monk.
THE CONVERSATION
ME: You know, I had planned to off you.
JACOB: Nods sagely We are all dying, after all.
ME: Stop spouting philosophy. I really, really had planned to off you. That's why I created you, for goodness' sake.
JACOB: Waits expectantly
ME: OK, OK, it was a plot device to make the Doctor deal with Rose's mortality, and loss, etc. etc. etc. and I think I managed to pull it off without, er, your death in the middle of it. It's a little tricky for you to wax philosophical in the story if I killed you off. And I like you, besides. And Brother Tomas is nice but really, can we handle more than one monk as an OC?
JACOB: I'm not really an OC. I never traveled in the TARDIS.
ME: Gets a far-away, rather plotting look in my eye
JACOB: Oh, no. I'm not getting in that box. Don't even think it.
ME: C'mon. It could be fun! Think of it: Monks In Space!
JACOB: Coughs politely and looks around for an escape. Since he's in my mind, he's stuck.
ME: OK, maybe that's not such a good idea.
JACOB: It's all right my dear. Just don't call me "Mary Sue."
