A cure for writer's block
Feb. 17th, 2007 07:31 pmI haven't had a real case of writer's block lately (writer's procrastination or writer's angst, maybe) but I am filing a way a cure for when I do need it. I went and had an hour-long deep tissue massage with aromatherapy today.
For a while, I just let my mind wander aimlessly and tried to be as physically present as I could (drawing a lot from my yoga practice) but then, ha, my mind wandered back to my current opus. I've got the majority of the next two chapters for The Calm Before the Storm written in my head and am just getting the words down now. And, my skin is glowing, and my back feels fantastic. It's brainstorming with benefits.
