I didn't even think of how the Doctor not telling her meant she wouldn't be able to say goodbye to Mickey and Jack...
That struck me in my second viewing when Mickey makes a point to say goodbye to Jackie. He knows full well she's going back to Pete's World (as she should, now). He doesn't take the same time with Rose, because he assumes, as she does, that she'll be traveling with the Doctor again and he'll see her around. The only one Rose expected to say goodbye to would have been Jackie.
