Gorgeous dialogue here between them - very honest, even where he's still not telling her absolutely everything. I did like his moment of honesty around his reactions to her, and hers to him, just after his regeneration. That's the kind of honesty she deserves. He wouldn't tell her everything about him and his past - really, he doesn't necessarily owe her a full history - but this was perfect.

This made me grin:
"I liked the last version of you."

It was his turn to snort. "And that proves there's no accounting for taste. Those ears, the angst, what in the universe were you thinking?"

"I thought you were funny." She smiled. "And sweet."

"Only a little, and I'll thank you not to mention that in public."
