I'm tempted to agree with the others who want the end of this to be non-compliant with canon, but I've read enough good Doomsday Fixeruppers (tm) to know that's not necessary for a generally happy ending. Just skip over a few years for the doctor - time machine! - and have him find a way. Or better yet, have Rose find one. She works at Torchwood now and I think will have no qualms about using that to her own advantage. Not to get her Doctor back, anyway. But I'm a sucker for a fictional happy ending, since we get them so rarely in real life. Have I mentioned that you are made of win? Because you are.
