I am familiar with that particular gadget, and I am Very Very Very Sorry that my brother and I joked about putting one of them in my dad's office. But it's not that. It's an almost alarm-clock multiple beeping.

I did question DH about who has had access to our apartment, though. And the survey of the roof outside turned up nothing.
