Would Rose have really known this? Is existentialism a “thing” culturally?
I feel like it's one of those terms that people recognise as a thing, but can't really define. It gets mixed up with nihilism, maybe.
Thomas, for all he appears only fleetingly in this story, is the beginnings of my thoughts about Jacob the monk.
