No doubt he would consider his rescue of Rose to be the most important thing he ever does, but I wonder if he'll have any other hunches at other times? He didn't quite get Bad Wolfed, but it's not unlike it.

You're right. I hadn't thought all the way through it in that way, but it is consistent with what we know now. It's Bad Wolf lite.
