I suppose I can't complain too much about not finding out about Jackie - I did write a post-Doomsday fic myself in which Rose just ran off with Ten again and omitted to include a final phone-call. :/ Still... that was in the immediate post-Doomsday angst ;)

As for Jacob ... he's got this sanguine perspective that there's a greater purpose, and that God has a plan for Rose.

He may well do, though I'm sure he's aware that not everyone (readers as well as the Doctor and Rose ;) ) share his perspective on that one...
