I could see him standing there in her bathroom, clutching the bottle and trying so hard not to let the tears fall and it broke my heart!

Smell is the sense tied closest to memory, or so "they" say. I know one of the hardest days I had after my grandfather died two and a half years ago was when the old flannel shirt I had no longer smelled like his old pipe tobacco and aftershave. That's when I really dealt with his being gone.
